Foodswing Products Are Finalists In Annual NASFT Competition.

October 1, 2007 - Two Rosa Mexicano salsa products, developed and manufactured by Northumberland-based FoodSwing, Inc., were recognized as finalists in separate categories during the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. The Chile Pasilla de Oaxaca Salsa was a finalist in the “Outstanding Appetizer, Antipasto, Salsa or Dip” category, and the new Pomegranate Black Bean Salsa was a finalist for the “Outstanding New Product 2007” award.  

The NASFT Annual Product Awards Competition, renamed the “sofi” Awards, consists of 30 different food categories. Judging takes place at the NASFT offices in New York City, where specialty food retailers, supermarket buyers, natural food merchants, chefs, and culinary educators analyze and taste more than 3,000 specialty food items. Winners of the “sofi” Awards are selected at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.
